MISSION AND VISION STATEMENTS

Mission Statement

The Black Heritage Society of Washington State, Inc. is committed to the acquisition, preservation, and sharing of archived collections relating to the history and legacy of Black people from across Washington State.  With this priority at its core, BHS is a strong advocate for recognizing and saving heritage sites that are culturally significant statewide.

Vision Statement

BHS is a premier resource that educates, shares and collaborates with all communities to uphold the contributions of people of African descent to Washington State history.
